Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was born in South London, England into a mixed family. She is English but her father is Nigerian. She was born in a South London council estate, and when she was fourteen, she attended The Brit School. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was earned. She appeared on stage in many productions while attending school such as the role of King Henry V, as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career through the film Storm Damage. Over the past few years Madekwe's appearance in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. After that her role was Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN, and appeared in the six episodes of Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi as the main character in ITV2's drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe made an appearance in the comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Her credits in theatre are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe was cast as Ashley Davenport for the ABC Drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode drama aired just 2 weeks at The CW and then it was cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen as Ashley Davenport. After appearing on the show for the initial two seasons the show was announced late May 2013 that Madekwe would quit the show following a guest appearance in the pilot episode in the season's third. On the show Salem the actress played Tituba from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June 2012. They've collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he is also a part of the cast on the show Salem.

Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was raised in a big family from Hamilton, Ontario. Four of her older brothers were also in the family including twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley grew in arenas or baseball fields because her four athletic brothers all played baseball, hockey, as well as both during spring and summer. Ashley was unable to walk, but was able to dance. This led to the fact that as she grew older, she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley began to develop a love of dancing after she started Baby Ballet. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions in jazz, tap hip hop, ballet lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe, until she finished from high school. Ashley was awarded the top soloist award at every major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, to name just some.
